I got myself a facebook page

I got Joolsie to do me a facebook page and already I have people from across the globe who keep in touch with my page. The internet is bringing us all together, wherever we are. I use this blog. twitter and now facebook to keep in touch with my friends and not just border terriers either :) 

Time well spent

Bein as it is arf term, Joolsie is alowd to take er olidaze. So she as been off dis week afta Eesta speshully to play wiv Impi. We ave had sum lovely walks regardless of da wevva. I as also spent a lot of time snuggled up wiv Joolsie, on da bed, on da sofa, in mai beanbag. We ave been owt in da car too, which I dussn't much like, but I dus like da speshul walks we get at da end of da jurney.
I ave bin watchin Mr S tryin owt lots of nu resipees for Joolsie while she as bin off werk, in ope that he wud drop sum of the bits on da flore for the resident cleena to tidy away, but mostly e as bin very neet and efishunt.
Dey as got a nu pizza cuka today, so dere is promise of sumfing taysty layta on today I opes.

Keeping everyone up to date

I have been working very hard lately, as you can see. Keeping everyone up to date on what's going on takes time and sometimes it does get a little tiring. At times like these I like to have a little snooze and rest my eyes.

Dogstralia or even New Pawland. Depends which way things go. I've had several attempts at this, but this recent batch were the best. I'm sure that I'll get there soon. Just have to keep on trying.

Supervising in the kitchen

I am responsible for making sure everything is all ok in the kitchen. I have to make sure that only authorised personnel enter. And it's really important that the contents of the fridge are kept in check - wouldn't want anything to go missing now, would we?

Today I was lazy

Today I didn't get up till 9:40 in the morning! It was cold and Joolsie didn't sleep well, so I was tossed around the bed on top of the duvet all night. Later in the night she moved me to the edge and snuggled me, so it was a bit more comfy. Then after I got up Mr S took me on the beach near us and I dug down to Australia again. I had to have a baff when I got home cos I was grufty, but that was alright cos Mr S had already done all his chores while I was sleeping hee hee.
When Joolsie got home she groomed me, cos she was cross about her work and needed some soothing. I am very good at soothing, I just lay on her lap and gaze up at her and she melts. I am so good at soothing :)

Today the beach is not snowy - it's sunny with the waves all white and sea horsey with spray. I played digging down to Australia just to see how deep down it was, as you can see here - it is very very deep...

Woke up to a silent snow covered garden

This morning was a surpise - it had snowed overnight and was 3 inches deep in snow. I wasn't keen to go out in it, cos it meant getting snowballs on my fur. But needs must after a night sleeping on their bed between them, to keep warm. So I was brave and was given a wrap in a warm towel when I went back inside. I do know how to train humans obviously.

Mr S likes to play with my toys and he really takes a lot of shouting at to make him realise that they are not really for him. As you can see here, he's a bit deaf!

Life on three legs

On Wednesday I went for my usual walk wiv Mr S through our local woods here and when the deer went by I couldn't resist following them. Well you never know what they'll get up to or go and it is my duty as responsible citizen of the dog kingdom to supervise them! Anyway Mr S didn't seem to think they needed monitoring so he called me back and of course I went (eventually - just needed to be sure that he meant it). By the time I got back to him it had happened and my front left paw was too painful to walk on and was bleeding all over the place! Mr S scooped me up and carried me straight home, where he bathed and dressed my poorly paw.

I think I took a bit of a shock from it all, cos I don't remember much of the rest of the day other than laying in my basket and Mr S changing the dressing a time or two. Mr S collected Joolsie from work early as a special treat for me and she gave me lots of loving cuddles when she got in.

I've not done much at all since then except lay in my basket, lay on the sofa, lay on Mr S or lay on Joolsie. I've spent a lot of time sleeping. I started to venture about the house on Friday night when Joolsie got home from work - I took a short dash to her on three legs and then stood by her till she picked me up for a cuddle - I think she was proud of me for trying.

Over the weekend my paw has got better in leaps and bounds and today I've got into trouble for trying to do leaps and bounds in equal measure! Joolsie has got to the point where she is making me wear my collar and lead to go out in the garden for a wee! Hopefully sometime in the next week I'll be allowed to go out for a walk, cos I'm getting very bored lounging around the house all the time!

Wevva is cold but full of interesting smells

It's dus be cold ere since December 18 and I as bin enjoyin da snow n da smells wot are much stronga wen it dus be cowld.
Today we dus go to Forge Valley nere to West Ayton and walked fur a long tyme. We clymed up da hill and Mr S ad to mayk a stik for Joolsie cos she did keep slydin off da paff. Wen we got to da top Mr S did put da lead bak on me cos he sed I want trustwervy enuf. I dint mynd cos the smells did be luvly up dere.

I gayzd at da black clowds in da Norf from da car on da way ome. Wen we wuz avin our lunch big sno flayks started flowtin past da window. I did predict dat!

I spent da afta nune snoozin on Mr S and den did decree dat I wusn't goin out fur a walk cuz it wuz too orrible. So I ad my dina served earlee :)

I ave a bad feelin abowt tomorrow thow. Mr S keeps talkin abowt Joolsie goin to werk wych I fink is a bad fing for me. He ses I will sulk, woteva that is!
